Lifelines

Kington Lions installs and maintains around 80 Lifeline installations within the Kington Area. These simple installations enable people to retain their independence, whilst having a back-up plan in place for assistance in the case of an emergency.

A Lifeline is a telephone installation that enables individuals (normally living alone) to alert emergency services (or family key holders) to a serious problem they have at home - for example a fall. A panic button connects to a permanently manned switchboard that will ensure someone visits to help.

From time to time problems may occur with these units, and they need to be updated or repaired. Members of the Lions will visit and fix the problem, which ensures the peace of mind of the individual and their families.
